<p>She’s from Kansas, he’s from Texas, and what started as an online connection quickly turned into something neither of them expected—meeting in person just two weeks later and never looking back. From the very beginning, it felt easy, natural, and right, even when the miles tried to complicate things. The first couple of years were filled with back-and-forth travel between Kansas City and Dallas, long drives, airport goodbyes, and countdowns to the next visit, but they made it work because they wanted to. Every trip only confirmed that this was worth the effort. Along the way, one very important family member had strong opinions—Bella, their dog, who made it clear at first that she was not impressed. She watched him closely, guarded her territory, and made him earn her trust. Over time, though, patience, treats, and consistency won her over, and now they’re true buddies who share couch space and inside jokes of their own. Still, some rules never change: Bella remains firmly in charge, and he proudly accepts his place as number two in the house.</p>
